SC, Sometimes in a really fast NQ future market, the price will move many ticks, as witnessed by the fill of the order or its associated stop or target price, so that the order will fill or its stop or target will fill maybe 4 or 5 seconds before you see that price on the chart. Is there a way to speed up the drawing of a chart? Albeit sometimes the NQ gets somewhat crazy fast; but, it would be nice to see the Sierra Charts drawing faster. I have the Chart Update Interval in Milliseconds set to 10 since that is what is recommended as the lowest to use at the address... General Settings Window: Chart Update Interval (Global Settings >> General Settings >> General >> Update Intervals) I changed the Use OS Timer for Charts to NO. I also have each charts update interval set to 0 so that it uses the global setting for the update interval of 10ms. I am running on a 1 gig cable connection and a PC with 6 cores with 8 GB of memory and use an Ethernet cable to connect from my PC to my cable modem. This laptop is getting old but I keep it clean and mean. However it is an AMD Radeon Ryzen 5 5500U with Radeon Graphics, so not the most powerful; but not bad. I just have the laptop monitor and then one external 23" monitor. I do have another monitor but have never hooked it up since I have trouble watching all I have already with just two monitors. What can I do to speed up the drawing of a chart? Sierra Charts are the best, in my not humble enough opinion. Thanks in advance. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2025-06-03 23:31:13
