We are not understanding the question here, and we do not understand what this has to do with updating the software. If you are able to see the studies in your "Analysis" menu, then those studies are in the proper 'Data' folder for your installation. You can view the path for your 'Data' folder in this setting: General Settings Window: Data Files Folder (Global Settings >> General Settings >> Paths >> Files and Folder Paths) The User Contributed Studies are in a file named "UserContributedStudies_64.dll" and it is located in the 'Data' folder as noted above.
