Post From: Tick-Nasdaq - Why the diferent candle sizes?

Hi, I'm sorry for the basic question, but I've been searching and searching and haven't been able to find a answer. My TICK-Nasdaq shows diferent candle sizes, similar to volume based candles. Does this represents/relates to the number of stocks that "overall" are ticking up, for example?. I'm saying this because, if 50 stocks trade from down to up, then the "tick" adds 100 (50 x 2). But if 50 stocks just up tick, then the tick adds only 50 (50 X 1). But in the first case there were 100 stocks trading and the other there were only 50. Is this the explanation for the diferent candle size? Please help. Thanks |
