Sub-instances (started with File >> New Instance) are connected to the main instance and send their information to that Main Instance. When using the built-in simulation mode you turn off the Simulation Mode in the Sub-Instance so that orders are sent to the Main Instance and then all the orders are accumulated in the Main Instance. But, as you state, this means that orders created in the Main Instance will not appear in the Sub-Instance. Note that this is only for Simulation Mode. Therefore, we recommend using our "Simulated Futures Trading Service" for your simulated trading, this way you can see the information in both the main instance and the sub-instance.
