There are two types of messages that can be written to the log. Some are general information and some are critical. The critical items will have an asterisk (*) after the message. These critical messages are set to open the Message Log when they are sent to the log to ensure that the user sees them. Are you having this issue with any message to the log at all, or just with critical ones that have the asterisk?
