I used something similar with Interactive Brokers, which I dont recommend due to the terrible data feed. I have a plan to move this all to TeleTrader but am caught up in other projects at the moment and am not trading the European session as much right now. I would also advise that you do some back-testing on what you read regarding market breadth and its ability to predict market direction, because (as usual) most of the folklore is downright wrong. I wrote a very basic indicator in C++, but you can achieve the same using the spreadsheet studies and tracking the results in another spreadsheet tab to display the A/D line, which is how I started off monitoring breadth. It should be very easy for the Dax as you are only monitoring 30 stocks.
