1. Update: The following issue was determined actually to not exist. It was believed to exist based upon a code review but there was no observational issues of this actually existing: Recently we implemented a single download time for historical daily data in Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Common Settings >> Historical Daily Data For more information, refer to: Downloading Historical Daily Data We discovered a problem with this, where when opening a historical daily chart, that has some existing data but this data is not up-to-date, that a download would not automatically occur for it, to bring it up to date, until after this download time. This is now resolved in prerelease version 2601. Instructions to update: Software Download: Fast Update 2. Sierra Chart now directly provides Historical Daily data for US equities instead of from Barchart. We have maintained this data for a long time now and are making it available. Some things to understand about this data. Since this is a recent change, to use this data: Follow the instructions here to update the Symbol Settings: Global Symbol Settings: Update Global Symbol Settings Historical daily data for the current day for US equities only updates around 8:10 PM US Eastern time. We are going to add another download time specifically to download this data at that time. The reason this data updates late, is because the volume is the entire 24 hour volume, as reported by the exchange. And the exchange does not provide the official volume until after 8 PM. Even though this data updates late, US equities charts will still be up-to-date from the delayed or real-time US equities data feed that we provide all users. The advantage of this new Historical Daily data is that there are no download restrictions. You can download as much of this historical daily data you need per day. The data is also available back as far as about 50 years ago, assuming the stock traded that far back in time. 3. This new US equities data, is not yet supported with -NQTV symbols. You do need to use version 2601 or higher for support for this and in about two weeks we will then make the necessary change to use this data for -NQTV symbols. 4. We are also reviewing, the scanning of historical daily charts and the whole process by which that works. To ensure there are no issues, and to make sure the documentation is correct and updated.
