You can not trade SPX500 with APEX. That is a CFD symbol. They typically have you trading the CME Group, in which case the symbol you would need for the S&P 500 Index is ESU23.CME. But there is also the Micro S&P 500 (MES) so you need to verify what symbol and what exchange. You can always use the File >> Find Symbol window to find the correct symbol.
