Changing that particular item changes it for all charts. It is a Global setting. Also, changing it should not have any impact on how many days of data you have loaded in a chart. Also, there is nothing in the documentation we pointed you to that indicates you should change that, unless you want to increase the loading speed of your charts, but this is at the expense of the underlying information.
