These problems are caused by my Internet Connection true, because it's in Australia and there is a 200ms latency. That latency is a significant amount, but unless you are fixed to a DOM making decisions based on Order Flow during periods of high volatility and volume (US Equities Open and Data Events for example), then you aren't going to notice that latency. I did notice it, and after making attempts to fix the issue, including those recommended in the Documentation linked above, I moved back to CQG because it was simply more reliable and smoother during these periods. I don't enjoy using an old version of Sierra to access CQG through a second instance, it is not without significant drawbacks, but I roll with it because it is the best (and cheapest) available option to me. I also like having CQG's mobile app as a risk management solution in the event of a hardware / internet failure. This is not a slight on Denali in anyway, I attribute this purely to CQG having localized servers with significantly better dedicated infrastructure to Chicago than I could ever hope to have. If Sierra had a similar setup with localized servers I am sure the performance would be as good, if not better than CQG (which, yes as you are well aware is not without faults).
