@User849326 If you are using Intel based Mac, you might consider install Linux + Wine, save you so much headache in the long run. Linux doesn't work on M1/M2, besides Parallels, you can try Oracle's VirtualBox, a free VM, I am running Windows with VirtualBox Linux version on my 2015 iMac, fairly decent.
