Thanks for the explanation. I've closely monitored this study over the last month, and believe there could be another issue in play for two reasons. (1) When I open the workbook for the first time, the Initial Balance lines carry over from the previous session as described in my original posting. If I close the workbook WITHOUT SAVING and immediately re-open, the Initial Balance lines will display as one might expect/desire. (2) A forced recalculation using "Chart > Recalculate" does NOT cause the Initial Balance lines to display as desired. Instead I must re-load the data by clicking on the time period, such as 5m. This pattern is the same regardless of the time of day I start up SC and load the workbook. In other words, the same behavior occurs before or after the IB period (09:30-10:30am EST) begins.
