Apologies for how long this took. It turns out that the information is all in the documentation, but it was not something that I personally aware of. There are two issues at play here. One of them is that the "New Bar at Session Start" only applies to the beginning of the trading day, however that is defined by the Session Times. This means that if you have Evening Session hours defined, then the new bar only applies at the beginning of the Evening Session and not at the start of the Day Session. This is all explained in the following: Chart Settings: New Bar at Session Start (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Session Times >> Intraday Chart Session Times menu) the second issue is that the "Range Bar - Standard", will change the Open and Close of a bar and it resets the time of both session times to appear that there is a new bar. Again, all of this is explained in the following: Chart Settings: Intraday Chart Bar Period >> Bar Period Type >> Range Per Bar - Standard (in ticks) (Chart >> Chart Settings menu) In order to resolve this issue - use the Range Bar - True option instead.
