There is something else going on here, so we need to figure out what it is. Do not worry about the Ticks per Volume Bar, even when set to 1 it will not be a major issue for the ES. You stated that the system freezes when you add the Volume Profile. Please close all your Chartbooks and start a new chart for the ES and then add the Volume by Price study and see if you get the same issue.
