Hi John, Thanks for your reply. I've read it a few times and done some more research on the Sierra Chart website. I think t's starting to make sense to me now. Thank you for the 5 additional days – very much appreciated. To review, there are 3 components I need; 1. A Data Feed or Service Package from the dropdown menu under “Available Services on - https://www.sierrachart.com/UserControlPanel.php?page=ServicesActivation 2. An Exchange from - https://www.sierrachart.com/UserControlPanel.php?page=DenaliDataFeed#ResultBox 3. The proper Service from – Global Settings-> Data/ Trade Service Settings-> Current Selected Service (List) For 1. on - https://www.sierrachart.com/UserControlPanel.php?page=ServicesActivation – under the dropdown menu for “Available Services” I currently have Package 12 but, really, I don’t need this for my purposes (I don’t need MBO and I don’t need TPO Chart Study, Numbers Bars, Numbers Bars Calculated Values, Market Depth Historical Graph or Volume Profile Interactive Drawing Tool). If I understand correctly, all I really need from - https://www.sierrachart.com/UserControlPanel.php?page=ServicesActivation – under the dropdown menu for “Available Services” is Package 10, because I need the Denali Data feed because that’s the package/ data feed that provides access to the CME, which has the Canadian Dollar. Package 3 won’t suffice because that’s the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed which does not provide access or support the CME. Is that right? For 2. on - https://www.sierrachart.com/UserControlPanel.php?page=DenaliDataFeed#ResultBox – all I need to have Activated is “3. CME non-professional top-of-book”. For 3. In Global Settings-> Data/ Trade Service Settings-> Current Selected Service (List), from the dropdown menu I should select “CQG WebApi”. Is that correct? To summarize, I should set as follows (currently it is not set up this way): 1. “10. Standard + Denali Data Feed – 36 USD / Month” at - https://www.sierrachart.com/UserControlPanel.php?page=ServicesActivation 2. “3. CME non-professional top-of-book” at - https://www.sierrachart.com/UserControlPanel.php?page=DenaliDataFeed#ResultBox 3. “CQG WebApi” at Global Settings-> Data/ Trade Service Settings-> Current Selected Service (List) Is this correct? And the combination of these 3 will provide accurate, updated, current real time and historical data? Will this combination avoid responses from SC Support saying that they cannot support my data inquiries because I am using CQG data? such as: “You are not using Sierra Chart provided data. You are using CQG data and we do not provide technical support for that data. We do not support CQG data and that policy is firm. You must use the Denali exchange data feed for data: Denali Exchange Data Feed We will not say anything further regarding CQG data. Because right now I’m looking for as much Daily and Intraday history for the Canadian dollar I can get my hands on. Is there a better setup for getting Daily and Intraday historical data and then a better setup for real-time data? Thank you kindly. And, again, I appreciate your patience. |
