You certainly do not need a broker for simulated trading and there are two different ways of doing this. Refer to: Simulated Futures Trading Service You can get delayed data at no extra cost. However, real time CME data, without a trading account, has a considerably high cost and we do not recommend that. What markets do you need data for or want to trade?
