The message you are getting:
ESZ1.CME[M] #45 | User order entry | Unable to Flatten/Reverse. Position does not exist. Working non-market orders will be canceled | Symbol: ESZ1.CME | TradeAccount: *

Is saying that you do not have an open position, therefore there is nothing to flatten. Hitting the Flatten button again (or hotkey for Flatten) should not have any effect, except to give you the same message again.

Are you sure those messages are not from the second time you try to flatten, where the position is already closed by the first Flatten command?
