Clearly there is a misunderstanding here. Post #7 and #8 are not relevant to what is actually happening in regards to resetting of the range. When the symbol of the chart is changed, the only thing that occurs in regards to scale range is merely resetting the constant range scale, if that is being used, to a default value. This is all. Nothing more. There are no changes with studies or chart drawings or any other setting on the chart. Chart drawings may not be visible because the symbol has changed but they are still there.
