OK we have heard from OEC, and we now understand the nature of the Logon problem and it is an issue for them to resolve on their side. When you notice that you cannot connect to OEC, disconnect with File >> Disconnect, wait about 30 seconds before trying again. That is the key to work around the problem.

And we also know why the disconnects are occurring but the actual source of that is unclear at this time. What is happening is the server is closing the connection because it is not getting heartbeat messages so we are reducing the interval between heartbeat messages. But Sierra Chart is indeed sending them . This is something that is very solid and works properly because we do extensively use FIX with numerous other services without problems. And it is common code which handles the heartbeats.
