Because Binance's datafeed (I've used several other software programs via API to trade it outside of their crappy interfaces) transmits in many decimals, example: 1.23312 BTC, and SC is setting the tick automatically based on the datafeed (in chart settings, first tab), any volume by price study added must take into account these decimals. It is not the number of transactions per se that is the issue, rather, the tick size because you are asking Sierra Chart to calculate many decimals of Volume by Price. This is something most software will program for, but alas, the beauty and difficulty of Sierra is that they let you manipulate this, often to your own detriment. So, easy solution is: 1. Go into your chart settings and set the ticks like I have attached (1), deselect auto-set from datafeed. (see attachment "BTC Binance") 2. Go select your volume by price study, but when you add it as a study, DO NOT APPLY IT until you have set your Ticks Per Volume Bar to 10. If you apply first, then you go into spin mode. :P (see attachment "BTC Volume By Price 10 ticks" |
