You can no longer use the format "GC#" for continuous futures contracts. You need to use the newer method for creating a Continuous Futures Contract. Refer to the information here: Continuous Futures Contract Charts Once you have changed to the new method see if you are able to get the information you are looking for. In terms of the setting you reference, it is on the Data/Trade Service Settings Window. When you go to the Common Settings tab, you need to scroll the window down all the way and it is on the bottom of that window.
