The Auto Retracement/Projection study can not be used on the Zig Zag study. The Auto Retracement/Projection is looking for the information based on a time period, which the Zig Zag does not conform to. The best thing would be to use the Price Retracement or Price Projection Tool and draw it based on the Zig Zag.
