You can use two instances of the MACD study, set to the same Chart Region. On the upper one, set the Draw Styles of the MACD and MA of MACD to Ignore. On the lower one, set the MACD Diff to Ignore. The order they appear in the Studies to Graph list is what allows this. The lower one will paint over the upper one.
