Whenever you change the chart timeframe it needs to reload the data from the file and reconfigure the information for the new timeframe. Therefore, there should be a small time delay as it loads the data. You will see a message stating "Loading" with the symbol when it is doing this. If you are not seeing the message that says "Loading", then you must have a very small amount of data loaded for that chart such that it is able to process it quick enough that you do not see the message.
