I also have access to another two versions of TICKs and they all vary at some points, but they do calculate right at the open, which SCH TICK doesn't.
How do you know that?

We have noticed the difference at the open and it was discussed. Our conclusion was, that the way that Sierra Chart is calculating the TICK is correct from everything we can tell . Therefore, the conclusion is the others could not be correct.

For example, look at February 13. The US stock market according to the S&P 500 began to rise at the 9:30 AM open. Not all stocks at the open, are going to begin to trade. The TICK from the other source, which you are trusting is correct, starts out very negative. This does not seem logical. So therefore, how do you know that it is correct? You could not know that for certain.

Now that we have done our own calculations, we know we are doing it correct and we will provide a complete technical explanation as to how the calculations are done in order to develop confidence in what we are offering.
