In response to post #6, this is a different issue. It should have been posted into a separate thread.

This is the relevant error message:

Reading for a HTTP request (2) failed. Windows error code 18: No more files. | 2014-02-17 18:35:57
This is very odd. We have never seen this error reported. We recommend restarting your computer as there is something going wrong somewhere in the HTTP to TCP/IP communications layer. We suspect you are running a third-party firewall which is blocking the connection. With an error like this, you are going to have more serious problems unless it is resolved. So at this point where the historical data is coming from is not even relevant. There is a much more serious problem which eventually will cause you to be locked out of Sierra Chart.

My recent few support requests have been to do with handling Historical Daily data from SCs server.
From what we have seen, this is not entirely true. In some cases, but those were resolved. Overall the data provided by the Sierra Chart server will be more reliable. And there is a very strong reason why we want the Sierra Chart data used over other services and that is because the connectivity and the handling of this data is usually more reliable compared to other services. And it is easier for us to debug problems.
