I think Crossover is a better option than Parallels and Windows for running Sierra Chart on a Mac. I think the performance is better with Crossover. Crossover uses wine to translate Windows API commands to Mac commands to run Windows programs on the Mac. Crossover installs a small subset of Windows C++ libraries needed to run Windows programs like Sierra Chart. No Windows license is required. Crossover only uses a small amount of memory, 315MB (1/3GB). Parallels requires an entire installation of the Windows Operating System (Windows 7, 8 or 10) to run Windows programs. Parallels splits the Mac memory between the Mac and Windows because you are running 2 operating systems at the time. A Windows license is required. Plus the Windows install needs to be updated every month with security patches.

The only issue I have running Sierra Chart on Crossover is that the menus stop working after the Mac goes to sleep and reawakens. So I just minimize the Sierra Chart program and then maximize it and the menus work again. My experience with Sierra Chart and Crossover has been very good.
