(we are not sure if you can have multiple computers connected at the same time, so it's possible you may have to turn off the software on your other computer, but that is something you will have to work out)
You can have multiple computers connected, however, at IB you need to create a secondary user with trading rights to access the account. If you don't do this it will kick you off the first (TWS, Mobile or Web only one login per username) so it is not possible to access data in SC on CPU X if only CPU Y has the IB local IB software connection? I.E. I'd like to set it up so i don't have to install IB on CPU X. is there a solution for this?
Maybe install the IB Gateway on CPU X this avoids installing the full TWS software... I have SC setup to access IB accounts through the Gateway. If you create a second trading user account (userXXX) at IB & use the IB Gateway on CPU X, then CPU Y uses your TWS setup and userZZZ. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2021-01-31 01:31:12
