When we have done custom study development for users, we do provide the source code if they request it. There is no extra cost for this.
Yes, we all appreciate that too. It's your good will, but not the rule for everyone and not for commercial studies at all. The user above wrote that he bought it from a Vendor/programmer. He simply had such conditions and the customer accepted them. If the user has agreed to the condition of creating a study without source code, he should consider the risks in the future. Or the choosing another programmer with a better offer and attached code free. There is a free market without borders and many programmers. There is no difference between a "customer request" program and another program. There is still intellectual property. I'm defending a another programmer. I don't see anything bad in that in these days when a lot of work is just stolen. Also many of my studies, which I initially provided for free and with free code, are sold by some vendors in their courses as their own ideas and their studies...

Every day I am in contact with xy people with requests for various improvements and I know from personal experience that they usually want everything for free, immediately, definitely with full support and with source codes. For me, Sierrachart user studies are a hobby, not a job (I'm a C ++ programmer in another field). If someone programing an add-on for Sierrachart as the main job, under these conditions then he would starve to death .....

You answered my note, which was general. There is definitely no mistake on your side - you have nothing to do with it ... and you are not responsible for the non-functioning of third party studies.
If users keep Sierrachart constantly + - several versions up to date, they don't have the problems which they have .....

Have a nice day
