There would never be anything deliberately from Sierra Chart to cause a problem with using Sierra Chart with operating systems other than Windows.

We think the problems that have occurred in the past, would be related to us using a new version of Visual C++ that causes some unexpected issue that where the cause is unknown to us.

Or possibly using a particular operating system function that we have not used before but that is not something which would be common and actually the trend is using less operating system functions. There is a firm rule that we do not use anything other than the standard and most basic operating system functions. We do not use anything exotic. The only thing exotic relates to some code with the connection to CTS which we want to remove. Actually we probably should just go ahead and get that done now.

And then there is some exotic COM functions related to creating desktop shortcuts to Sierra Chart.

And we are moving in a direction of removing Microsoft code from the program most predominantly MFC and making sure all of the code does not contain anything Microsoft compiler specific. Removal of MFC simplifies the interface Sierra Chart has to the operating system which means there are less functions used so there is less potential for problem.

The removal of MFC will be finished before June 2021 and then we can begin to adapt Sierra Chart directly to Linux or perhaps we may just utilize WINE and get involved in working out the bugs that exist by fixing that code. That is another potential approach.

We really want to get to a point where we can tell Microsoft to go to hell. There are many big tech companies, which are definitively the enemy of the people, that are hell-bent, on literally killing and controlling people and Microsoft is one of them through their founder Bill Gates.

Now when we removed the 32-bit version we know that some users would be affected by this and this is a very tiny percentage, and those users just need to update their operating system to 64-bit.

Almost certainly their hardware is already 64-bit. So we do not think this really is creating an unsolvable issue. This removal of the 32-bit version was only recent in the year 2020 and now really everyone should be on a 64-bit operating system.

Our intent to remove the 32-bit version was to simplify the distribution of Sierra Chart and have all the custom study developers not having to be creating a 32 and 64-bit version of their custom studies. So it is designed to reduce the overall burden on everyone.

Yes some users are going to be inconvenienced, but this is a very very small percentage, and it is their responsibility since the removal of the 32-bit version to work on updating their operating system to a 64-bit version. This is not impossible. Even we are being pushed into server updates to newer Microsoft server operating systems which we do not like but we have done.
