I have run into this problem before where when you set a chart to 1 Tick, it will immediately change to something else. I have found that duplicating the chart and deleting the old one sometimes fixes it. I have also found that if you are referencing the tick chart on another chart, that the reference study can cause this. You could try deleting the reference study and see if that was the source of the problem.
