If you want to trade from Sierra Chart using your Interactive Brokers account, then yes Sierra Chart does have to be connected to Interactive Brokers. Whenever we get market data questions though involving Interactive Brokers in order to eliminate confusion and complexity, we do recommend using the Sierra Chart data feeds separately. However, you do need to have Sierra Chart connected to Interactive Brokers if you want to trade that account. Regarding the level 2 data, we cannot help with that but know that we are working on a direct NASDAQ connection which will be providing this data.
