LOL. I've gone to the dark side. I just hated Gnome. It's designed by people who probably venerate Steve - they want to control me at every turn, the opposite of Linux flexibility and empowerment. So I buy that Mint isn't the future which leaves me XFCE with a small team and KDE with lots of enthusiasts and reviews saying how efficient it is now. So, bit the bullet & installed KDE Neon. I haven't installed KDE for years but I love it. So far, Sierra is stable with the x11 file updated, I can control anything I want - it's beautiful.
