If you are going to wait until next month, then you would need to deactivate the old exchange prior to the end of the month (you can do this at any time now, as you are only deactivating the renewal, you will have the data for the remainder of the month). Then, you will want to activate the new exchange on the FIRST of next month (October 1, 2020).
