For organization, that thread was removed. What you need to do is go to Global Settings >> Graphics Settings. In the Colors and Widths for Chart Objects list , select Chart Text. Press the colored button and set the color to black. Press OK and OK. The color of the Chart Values tool can be set through Global Settings >> Tool Settings>> Chart Values.
