Thank you for your answer: For your info in future cases,I was able to circumvent the problem by changing the stop type to stop from stop limit. Apparently it was the Stop Limit that threw a wrench into the system for IB. Go figure. They read something like too far from price etc. but 30 ticks is not too far from price. Anyway, Stop it is.
