I agree on the processor, I went with I5 myself, I was mainly trying to show that for only a few bucks he could blow away his current system. The ram disk is a good idea, but I looked at it before and didn't want to copy the files back and forth every day, but maybe you don't have to do that anymore? I5 would add $70, 16 gigs would add around $90, ramdisk software would add $20?, and removing ssd would save $90. I'd still keep the ssd though and top out around $700 for a complete build. |
