Post From: Subinstance Symbol Unknown Market Data Requests Remote Computer Not Allowed

Maybe you're misunderstanding the problem we are experiencing and could help explain in more detail.

Unless we are unaware of changes to using the DTC Sub-Instance feature with a main feed computer, or rules recently changed due to new regulations etc regarding our data feed, it's all worked fine until the latest sierrachart update.

We are trading emini S&P futures. Both computers are local on same LAN (in the same room). We use CQG WebAPI service on the main computer and DTC Sub-Instance setting on the connecting computer.

The DTC Sub-Instance computer does connect yet when charts load displays the "Symbol is Unknown. Click for symbol information. Market Data Requests from Remote Computer is Not Allowed." message.

After data loads on the sub-instance session even though loading the same symbol, price differs from the main computer, as if they're out of sync.

Per our understanding we subscribe and pay for the necessary data feeds, and use the DTC Sub-Instance feature following the methods instructed by sierrachart for setting up two workstations on a common network.

We are not attempting to login twice or anything unusual. What else might be the cause of the issue?

Thank you.
