@Unicorn_Catcher, just in attempt to help here: I am a non-professional individual trader, and use IB Gateway with Sierra Chart often to get data...I've not heard any such claim from IB support like you stated, and Gateway works fine. The login which I use for Gateway is the same as what I've saved in SC's Data/Trade Service settings, it connects without issue.
