Hey there, I ended up going with Flex Renko, New trend bar when range exceeded \| New reversal when amount met plus 1 tick and reference prior close, whatever tick size you like but with both offsets set to 75% of the number of ticks (or as close as possible, like 10-7-7 or 4-3-3... I'm daytrading financials so using things like 1 point for short term, 5 points for long term), fill all gaps, and no new bar at session start. This got me nearly a perfect match to what I was using with TradeStation's Renko+. Hope that helps!
