The problem is that you are using the Chart Values Window. You need to use the Tool Values Window. The Chart Values Window only gives you the information for the last displayed column in the chart. The Tool Values Window will give you the information for the item at which the crosshairs are pointing when in Tools >> Chart Values mode. If you want to use the keyboard to open the Tool Values Window, select Alt-V, otherwise select Window >> Tool Values Window.
