I use multiple time frames. Very often I will place a trendline on a IE. 240 minute chart. I want to see when this trendline - placed on the 240 minute chart - comes into play on IE. a 5 minute chart. To get the trendline on the 240 to show on the 5 minute chart I simply put the chart NUMBER identifier on the 240 (where the trendline originates,)into the CHART SETTINGS - ADVANCED SETTINGS 2 - of my 5 minute chart in the "Copy Chart Drawings From Chart #'s:" area. I am careful to make sure the little dots on the 240 trendline line up with the highs or lows of the price bars and often use the "Snap to High/Low" tool for accuracy. The problem I am experiencing, too often, despite my correct precision, is that these trendlines from the 240 DO NOT show at the precise price levels on the 5 minute chart that they accurately show on the 240. They are quite often OFF by several ticks. I have been unable to fix this very annoying discrepancy. I do not have the same issue with a horizontal line or any other chart drawing that I might place on the 240 min chart. Please advise.
