For what exchanges did you want real-time data for?
The answer is not even easy, as I am actually responding you your guys' hammering on IB issues. So, when going the SC way, I thought to comply as best as possible to what SC supports best and see what can be done with the SC feed(s) instead of what I currently use from mostly IB. Let's say that what I see from using the IB feed through SC is not the very best responsive (so to speak) and the least I want to check is whether this is better with the SC feeds. I am not saying that I wouldn't be able to work with SC as how I see it now, so I just wonder. What I'm using with IB is NYSE, NASDAQ (normal shares) and Forex, and the automated trading I intend is about Forex only. OffTopic (sort of) : Any advice you can give me I'll trust and linking to pages about this will undoubtedly be helpful (I read a million so far but I guess I am still too uninformed about this all). So please, don't hesitate to say that the SC feeds are better all over, or, what it may require extra in the SC environment when I wouldn't have an IB feed any more at all. Regarding this, please notice that over there I am using symbols at random (say 100 different the last year and again 50 different prior to that). If it were about the number of symbols at the same time, ... maybe I ever touched 40. And, being at the trial license I obviously have now idea how this works out (is a license for 100 about 100 at the same time but I can change freely, daily ?). What I'm also completely missing atm is how your real time data is related to CME only with the notice that I don't intend to do Futures. So possibly I am trying something (the real time data feed) which is useless for me all together. But I am happy to try everything, especially if you advise it. Thanks a lot. |
