It boggles my mind that the SC data feed will offer Montreal and Toronto stock exchanges but is not offering JPX products. In my 14 years of full-time trading I have never met anyone trading Montreal or Toronto exchanges but have met many trading Osaka (now JPX) futures. This exchange decision cannot come down to demand as this is just non-logical exchange selection. The Nikkei products are the most universally offered Asian product among the common retail brokers. I would have expected these products would be offered before markets like the Hang Seng due to the very very limited broker offerings for HKFE. Mini Nikkei OCT daily volumes ranged between 1.13m - 2.65m contracts traded. Since I have been trading, this market has been the highest liquidity market in Asia and this continues to be the case today. There is certainly demand for JPX products and surely there is far far more demand for the Mini Nikkei than there is for any Montreal or Toronto market.
