SC Datafeed support for JPX

Are there plans to add support for futures data from JPX for those who wish to trade the nikkei mini?

I'm currently using the OSE-JPX data from CQG offered by AMP Futures which is fine but I'd like to be migrate my datafeed entirely to Sierracharts' feed one day.

Perhaps this will come sometime. But it depends upon the level of demand.

I'd be interested if the depth levels were 40

That would assume the exchange even provides that level of market depth.

It boggles my mind that the SC data feed will offer Montreal and Toronto stock exchanges but is not offering JPX products. In my 14 years of full-time trading I have never met anyone trading Montreal or Toronto exchanges but have met many trading Osaka (now JPX) futures. This exchange decision cannot come down to demand as this is just non-logical exchange selection.

The Nikkei products are the most universally offered Asian product among the common retail brokers. I would have expected these products would be offered before markets like the Hang Seng due to the very very limited broker offerings for HKFE. Mini

Nikkei OCT daily volumes ranged between 1.13m - 2.65m contracts traded. Since I have been trading, this market has been the highest liquidity market in Asia and this continues to be the case today.

There is certainly demand for JPX products and surely there is far far more demand for the Mini Nikkei than there is for any Montreal or Toronto market.

i just want to add to the prev post that the nikkei mini on the osaka exchange is the most-traded futures contract in asia and it's a top contract to trade for 1) US traders who work full-time and trade after work 2) Asia traders

its characteristics are very much like the ES and the HSI is not really a comparable alternative as it is more like the NQ but much less liquid.

doesn't SC get its feed from Barchart though? i'm not sure Barchart even has access to JPX in the first place though..

I don't know if they offer it, but they do have a page for it of which has the wrong contract info stating double the tick value....

We are passing along this feedback over to our data provider Barchart. This is all we can say.

Thank You.

PS re the 40 levels, I do note that CQG offer the full book for the mini Nikkei, which is way over 40 levels

Another vote for futures data from JPX, especially the mini-Nikkei. Really liquid product for both Asia-based and Overseas-based traders to trade so surprised that Sierra Chart doesn't offer that yet. Please pass along our feedback. Thanks

Barchart did come back to us in regards to this, and they asked if we could conduct a survey among our users about the level of demand for this. But not really quite sure how we would do that reliably.

Thanks for trying, Sierra.

It really does boggle my mind how they can think that Montreal and Toronto exchanges are more in demand than JPX. I'm disappointed, but I understand it is out of your hands and I probably need to look into CQG as the only reliable alternative for Asian futures markets.

Is there any way we can write to barchart and request this so it becomes available on the Sierra data feed ?

especially for those who run unmanned algo to get exposure in Asian market.
I definitely hope SC could add to it.

based on this page: https://www.barchart.com/trader/exchanges
it looks like barchart doesn't really have access to any Asian exchanges.

does that mean the HKEX data for the SC Datafeed comes from CQG? i don't remember exactly but i seem to recall that for SC datafeed, CME data was directly from the exchange but Eurex data was actually from Barchart sourcing it from CQG and not directly from Eurex.

I know it is unlikely, but I'll add my +1, if it facilitates trade via a Tokyo based server. AMP does not.

I am opening accounts with Singapore and Tokyo based brokers that do offer this... But it means leaving SC.

IBKR only has a HK server. They currently get a considerable amount of our funds.
