[is the Uptick Vol] less accurate than Ask Vol since it is just an approximation Yes, but only if the Ask Vol is from a source where it is accurately reported, like the SC Data Feed. Not all data feeds report Ask Vol accurately. All I'm trying to do is figure out whether I can gain something by tracking the Uptick Vol in addition to the Ask Vol. If the data source accurately reports Ask Vol, there is little to gain by also tracking Uptick Vol. If the data source does not accurately report Ask Vol, it might be better to track Uptick Vol instead.
