The border is controlled by the Width setting on the Chart Drawing Properties/Configuration pages. When set to 0 the border will not display. This is described in the section Options >> Outline >> Color/Style/Width: under this link: Chart Drawing Tools: Rectangle | Extending Rectangle | Ellipse | Triangle Configuration
