Post From: Determining the angle of a study

Hi. I am trying to understand how the STUDY ANGLE works. I want to do something very simple (I thought).

I want to understand what angle a Keltner channel or Bollinger band has relative to flat.

If the study was running completely flat I would expect the angle to return 0.

However, no matter what setting I select I cannot get a simple angle to return correctly for me.
I have attached an example (apologies - I couldn't get your method to work).

As you will see from the settings also attached, the study is returning and answer of -75 degrees for the slope. I simply cannot see how this is possible as that is close to vertical, and neither line is vertical.

The Bollinger is set to 20-periods, and I have tried selecting in input length of every value from 1 to 20 but none of the angles make any sense to me at all (they do not correspond in any way to the angle seen on screen).

The instrument is CFD GER30. I have also tried modifying the tick value, but that doesn't work either.

Please can you explain how I get this simple angle working? Thanks.
