. Do I understand you correctly that I'm paying for an SC Platform and SC Datafeed, but that SC can't connect to the exchange, rather it needs me to also have a connection (CQG, Rithmic, whatever)? You just need to connect once a month to your trading service to make the CME happy to be able to use the CME data. Clearly it is not possible to use a data feed only service for live trading. What the instructions say is that you need a funded account to take advantage of the lower-priced CME exchange fees. This is all.But if you have a second CQG connection, you can certainly use that for trading.
