It is unusual for this to be encountered so many times as it is. It indicates a client to server connectivity issue over the network.

If you want to prevent the Message Log from automatically opening, use this option:
General Settings Window: Never Automatically Open Message Log or Trade Service Log (Global Settings >> General Settings >> Log >> Log)
